This year’s Ecosystem Meetup will be held in Mysore, a historical city flanked by the Western Ghats, one of the world’s biggest biodiversity hotspots.
The Western Ghats are home to over 7,402 species of flowering plants, 1,814 species of non-flowering plants, 139 mammal species, 508 bird species, 227 reptile species, 179 amphibian species, 290 freshwater fish species and 6,000 insect species – all interlinked and supported by the River Kaveri – a life-giving force that travels across different terrains and nurtures different habitats.
It is this interconnectedness we are carrying into our Ecosystem Meetup. No matter what problem we’re trying to solve and where, we are all part of an ecosystem we turn to for support, co-creation and guidance. It is where we belong.
